I don't think the log file is intended to be monitored itself; the various error-checking and debugging tools in the IDE will use the log to do their jobs.
Well, tools won't detect bugs automatically, I think there has to be a synchronization service, which connects to their maintenance team, because if there are 1000 users running Android Studio, then there will be so much duplication of questions.

The tools within AS do... that's why they're there, to detect bugs in your code.

True, but that does not happen consistently, I think there should be a service which automatically synchronizes with a central repository and automatically logs "known duplicates of the same error as they are propagated by the same version and typical characteristics of the software.
Just a suggestion, I don't know where else to post it, perhaps someone should write to Google Inc.
