This phone doesn't have any LED status lights. This not a terrible issue. It's a design decision by Samsung that plays on the fact that people don't usually keep the phone far away. But it occurred to me today that Camera Flash could be used in place of status LEDs. Obviously, it is larger than the common status LED, and consumes more power, so it would need to flash in large intervals. Let's say twice per minute? Flash is strong so it would be noticeable with peripheral vision even with the phone on its back. What do you think? Could/should apps utilize it?
