I love my Galaxy S's 4".

That's the ideal size for me... Just wish it was as thin as the S2.

It's ideal...now. But in the future, we might have screens that can fold, or maybe we will have holographic projectors or something similarly crazy that can give us a 30" screen and fit into that tiny pocket inside the right pocket of pants. Then our 4-4.5" screens will look like a chihuahua. Tiny and pointless

My initial reaction? Well, DUH! You didn't really need a study for this, just a visit to any cell phone store...or is that how the study was done........? Hmmmm

I'm used to my 3.7" screen. Phones with keyboard sliders tend to have smaller screens than their keyboardless counterparts. After using such small screens for 2 years, phones with screens larger than 4" seem a little awkward to me.

Plus a slider in landscape mode gives more screen real estate that a bigger phone (wife has the US equivalent of your Desire Z, I use it myself).

The quote in the OP shows the study is biased for those looking to upgrade, so no telling if the larger screens are even known by that group. Then we have this -

Anyway, I'm on my second 4.3" model and except for a slider, I agree it's ideal - because I've not tried anything larger to actually know.
