Yep. But this sets a dangerous precedent.

Yes, If their P2P network is shut down, it will no longer work!

    Long live torrents! :)

    ?It does?

    Nero...

    Nova...

    Mininova...

I don't know if they realize this but there's countless P2P sharing methods. All they seem to do is target the big one at the time. Every time they kill one, three more pop up. Limewire was so bloated with viruses two years ago it's a wonder it's still used anyways.

I'm more concerned about the Legal Precedent it sets. It makes it ten times easier now to shut down other P2P sharing options.

Stopping P2P sharing is like telling people not to kill each other

I'm as surprised as you

That site has such a terrible rep - you'd want to <3 PC viruses to use it

Alert me when something big happens...

Remember how ___--__-----earth shattering it was when Napster was shut down

  18. Never used Limewire in my life. EVER. I stick to SLSK. A great community comes along with it too!

  19. agreed. First Napster, then limewire took over. There are plenty of options out there, and double agreed on the virus thing. It's why I stopped using limewire in the first place.

how good are these sites for movies. I get all my music off youtube rippers nowadays, but I'm looking for movie options.

P2P sucks. I prefer to browse the forums that link to download sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare, hotfile, etc...

Limewire was terrible and loaded with spyware and crap you don't want. I am shocked that people still used it and are upset at its going away. lol
