I like TWRP Recovery v2.4.4.0 best. It seems to work well with most Jelly Bean Roms. You can find TWRP on the internet, or on this forum listed with one or two of the guides, or download thru the Goo Manager app. It's free from Google Play. I'm currently running AOKP JB 4.1.2 111812. Had no problems with this recovery or loading a Jelly Bean ROM. Make sure you follow the dev's advice
