If I were to do a hard reset on the phone, would it go back to 1.5 so I can root it?

Well, see that's the thing. I don't want to do another hard reset, seeing as I've already done 3. That's why I was asking, to see if someone has tried it.

Don't bother. I'm sure its been tried before. Too many people are leaked and wanting root for nobody to have tried that.

No a hard reset will just delete any user data you've changed on the phone back to factory stock. Don't bother, it won't get you any closer to rooting your phone.

+1. . . but since you're still on 2.1v1, I would install the second leak. It is a bit more stable then the first one.

    What?... Why?

You already took the plunge into the leaks, so why not get the less buggy one?

I can assure you, if they do root the leaks, it will be v2 that gets rooted not v1
