Help Impossible to use mic when bluetooth connected? Shazam/Soundhound don't work when bluetooth connect

It appears that the mic is disconnected when Bluetooth is connected. This means that apps like Soundhound and Shazam which need the mic can not function when Bluetooth is connected.

When do you need Soundhound/Shazam most? Driving in the car, listening to tunes. But since the Epic is connected to the car BT, those apps don't work. Is there some way around this without disconnecting BT?

Are you charging at the same time? I find my cheapo charger interrupts the mic sometimes.

Could be a 2.1 issue like voice dialing over BT.

Same issue when im connected to bluetooth on car stereo and shoot a video i get no sound

I've read (sorry no link) that this is a 2.1 issue that will be remedied with the release of Froyo. I hope so, as I will then truly be the master of the universe when I command Grooveshark to play anything I desire on my commute to work!

My experience is that the mic works UNTIL a call is placed using a Bluetooth handsfree kit. I've specifically tested by using Shazam or doing a voice search before making a call, which works, and then trying after making a call, and it no longer works.

I too hope this is resolved, because the only way to restore the mic function in my experience is to reboot the phone.

I'm on 2.3.3 and when BT is connected, Voice Talk doesn't work - as though the mic is off. Where is a good place to use Voice Talk/Voice Commands, in the car.... where you have a BT kit..... any fix for this?
