    You look at it one angle and the screen goes all negative, and other angle it all looks washed out. That's often the way with many of these budget devices. I suspect a decent wide viewing angle IPS screen would add significantly to the bill of materials costs.

    Right, but at this price, there are lots of rk3066 tablets with an 8 inch ips display to choose from, and rk3066 outperforms atm7029 in almost everything. So I am really puzzled whom this slate is marketing towards.
