Hey guys, I'm going on a trip in December that involves a 13 hour Amtrak ride and will be bringing my laptop along with me, I was wondering if I tether to my G2, will I suffer drops every 10 minutes or so as I hop from tower to tower, or does it give a consistent signal so long as my connection doesn't cut out entirely?

Just hoping my ssh sessions don't cut out while I move about heh.

Um, on a 13 hour Amtrak ride I'd be more concerned about having any cell connection in the first place. When I ride Amtrak, usually half the time it's through the middle of the desert with no reception.

When you do have reception, though, I would think that it should be pretty seamless between cell towers.

Depending on the Amtrak Line/route you happen to be on, the train itself may have on board WIFI . So in a car with AC adapters and free Wifi, the 13 hours will be a bit less boring. :D

And you won't even need to tether the laptop on the G2.
