Help In search of help

I bought a droid phone and I am sick of these pre-loaded apps. I want to delete them but I was told that they cant be deleted, so I heard that you can root the phone to get rid of them. However, I can not seem to root the darn thing because everytime I try to do the root update.zip it says that the content is not supported on the phone. I am so annoyed and wish I could get some help. So if anyone is out there and can advise me on what to do I would be so grateful.

first off try typing in the normal font, that font isnt easy on the eyes.

secondly you will have to tell us what type of phone you are using, also there is a rooting section in this forum for each phone.
