I couldn't find anything specific through a search, but whenever I get an email on gmail I get a white envelope notification. That is linked to the gmail folder. At the same time I get a black envelope with a white outline. I cannot figure out what email folder/widget/whatever it is linked to and I have to manually clear the notification.

Is there anyway to turn off the black envelope?

I am not sure what Mail apps your using (not sure I have ever seen a "black" envelope".

Each app you should be able to turn off notifications. If your using HTC Mail, its in options when in that APP, same with gmail.

Oh yea I got it now, apparently there were 2 mail apps with notifications set. One was the gmail app with the icon that is a white envelope with blue inside. The other was the gmail app with the icon that is the white envelope and red M.

I'm not sure which is the HTC and which is the Google one, I use the blue one.
