Will a rooted Inc work as a 3g hotspot?

I've had issues with it, I'm rooted but not a new ROM. I cant get more than 1 MB/s up or down.

I used to tether, before root with PDA net and it worked. I like wired tether more, the fact that people demand wireless is silly to me. I don't want to share my 3G...its mine
