This post concerns Active Sync 2007 policies from an Exchange server.
So it seems that the INC supports both native PIN locking and remote wipe.
Can anyone confirm what it is doing with the data at rest. Our policy requires that the device encrypt all data on the handset. Since the Inc will sync as a provisionable device, this should mean that all data sync from Exchange, both message and attachments, are encrypted on the handset. I cannot find any confirmation or denial of this on the HTC's or Google's forums. Does anyone here have any insight into this or know of a better place I can search?
Touchdown handles encryption by encrypting fields within the mail datastore and it will not allow the downloading/viewing of attachments because it can't encrypt it.
Thanks!
