Incredible Battery FailureSupport

    Hey,

    I just wanted to drop a line and tell the forum about an issue with my HTC Incredible Phone (New – Verizon). Out of the box it failed to hold a charge despite 18 hours of being plugged into a socket. The symptoms included an amber colored light, next to the N in Verizon, which would flash for about 5 minutes then turn out. The phone never got hot, refused to turn on (restoring factory defaults was naturally impossible) and would not respond when connected VIA USB.

    Verizon replaced the battery with one from a store demo, (all the Incredible phones and parts are backordered/out of stock so they tested it with an Eris battery, then dismantled a display and swapped it for an Incredible battery) and that resolved the problem. The phone seems to be holding a charge, but I wanted to know if anyone else is having issues like this? Did I hit the lottery for bad phones?

    Haven't duplicated that issue....think you just got a bad one.
