Instagram working on one S3 and not in the other!

This is very strange, I bought 2 Galaxy S3's lately, one is blue (mine, and the other is white (my mom's).

I updated both to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4

Installed the same version of Instagram on both


Now when I launch my mom's White S3 and click on the Blue icon in the bottom middle of Instagram then actually snap the photo, Instagram freezes then the program exits with a fatal error.

I tried restarting her phone with no luck.

The only difference between my phone and hers is that I have Adobe Flash Player installed and she doesn't but I dont think that has any effect.

Any ideas on how to fix this please?

Try an uninstall and reinstall. Make sure you clear all instagram data before you uninstall.

You can fix the permission from the ClockworkMOD menu, if you have your phone rooted with a kernel I believe. Or you can use ROM Manager, but once again you will need to have a rooted phone with ClockworkMOD.

With the S3, do you automatically update the system firmware, or do you have to flash a ROM onto there?

like I said, I'm a newbie and thus have not rooted my device yet.

I will try uninstalling then reinstalling the app in that case
