Installing Gingerbread without backup?

I want to install Gingerbread onto my LG P350, but I don't want to make any backups.
My apps are really messed up, so I guess it would be easier to remove all of them and install new ones again.

The question is, will I have at least Google Play installed so that I can reinstall the apps I need?
Or is there another way to remove all of the software except for Google Play?

When you install any CM-7 ROM you will need to install the Gapps (Google apps). This will have all the Google Apps that are necessary (there is some kind of Licencing disagreement between CM Team and Google which is why they can't be included in CM-7 or there ports).
You do need to make a nandroid backup in your custom recovery just in case you make a mistake in the ROM install. After you have the new ROM installed and everything set up just how you need it then you make a nandroid of the new ROM with all the new good apps installed. Then delete the old one with all the messed up apps.
