I'm on virtuous 3.1.0 and I'm trying to install an application that is a .zip file from my phone's internet browser. When I try to open the .zip file I'm taken to rom manager and I can't install the file. Anyone know how I can install it?

.zips are usually installed via recovery. What exactly are you trying to install?

It's setcpu which I grabbed over at xda. I got it to install using astro. Is this an unforseen flaw with virtuous? Or a mistake on my part? Virtuous is by far my favorite rom so far.

I think it was just a zipped up apk. Apps are generally not installable as .zip, so I assume astro just unzipped it for you and prompted you to install it.

Just unzip the package when you have your phone connected as a diskdrive then remove it and install using Astro. Easy as pie.
