    Instructions:

First time flashing CyanogenMod 7 to the Samsung Vibrant, or coming from another ROM?

    • Root the device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
    • Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
    • Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
    • Perform a factory reset.
    • Flash CyanogenMod.
    • Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.
    ClockworkMod Instructions:

This guide assumes the Samsung Vibrant already has Android 2.2 build UVKB5 already installed on it. If the Samsung Vibrant already has ClockworkMod Recovery installed, skip this section.
Warning: Installing a custom recovery image on the Samsung Vibrant will void the warranty.

    1. Download Cmenard's OverStock kernel with ClockworkMod Recovery, the Heimdall Suite:
      • Cmenards's OverStock Kernel with ClockworkMod Recovery: download md5: ecd3c2335a90ef93bc1b6b6514386c8e
      • Windows:
        • Heimdall Suite 1.1.1: download NOTE: The Heimdall Suite requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installed on the computer, which can be downloaded here.
      • Ubuntu 32bit:
      • Ubuntu 64bit:
      • Mac OS X:
NOTE: The source code for the Heimdall Suite is available on Github.
    2. Windows ONLY:
      1. Power off the Samsung Vibrant and connect the microUSB to the computer but not the Samsung Vibrant.
      2. Boot the Samsung Vibrant into download mode by holding down Volume Up & Volume Down while connecting the USB to it.
      3. Run the included zadig.exe in the drivers folder of the Heimdall Suite.
      4. From the menu, choose Options

I give this rom a 2 out of 5. I have flashed this rom om my vibrant and it ran OK but I guess I am a picky person when it comes to roms. I will state that the auto brightness dosen't work and the GPS is still alittly buggy but all in all its a stable rom if those issues where fixed I think I might install it again

I gave this rom the boot. No GPS and horrible battery life.

you guys should try ICS Euphoria, you can flash to it coming directly from cm7. It is by far the best rom i have ever used. Battery life is awesome and everything i have checked is working perfectly.
