My Desire was working fine until yesterday, when I noticed that it was dropping the network for long periods of time. Of course it can't receive calls or text messages during this time and shows zero bars of reception.
The strange thing is, it will be sitting there and not on the network, and then when I wake it up (by pressing the power button, and making the screen active) all of a sudden it gets a signal (going from zero to four bars) and can receive a call. When I send it back to sleep, it loses the signal again. I have switched it on and off, removed the battery, SIM, SD card, and done a hard reset, but doesn't seem to make a difference.
It is almost like it is only working when I am looking at it!
Any thoughts?
