Did you try unplugging (re-booting) your router?
Also, run a speed test (speedtest.net, free from the play store) when it's working and again when it won't connect.

When the internet works it says 38 MB/s and when wifi doesn't work it says Network error. We have switched the modem a few times because we had other problems and nobody else has the problem.

If you cannot get your Wi-Fi to work, try using the following connections:

- 3G / 4G (LTE) / EDGE, depending on your mobile data usage limit, and terms as stated on the contract of your service provider

You can also try the following:
- Chrome is proved to be faster than IE on your computer, but is definitely not faster than any mobile phone browser. Try using your in-built browser.
- Provide the brand of your router, and I will give you some recommendations on routers you can purchase.
- If you have changed your Wi-Fi router recently and the same problem pops up, get your device checked by an Android specialist. The problem may be with the Wi-Fi radio in your device.

I have prepaid so I can't use mobile data. Chrome is my build in browser, I already installed Firefox so I can use it when internet disappears again. I use build in wifi from my modem which is an understatement, we also bave an Linksys router but when I use that one I've got the same problem.

Sorry to say this, but the only solution is to part with your device for a few days and get it checked. It may be a problem with the Wi-Fi radio in your device.

Try Going into your device Network settings and clearing the current home router Wi-Fi information from the device and then reboot your device. After the device has powered back on re-entry the Wi-Fi information back in its proper place with the correct password in the WiFi network settings in the device. After that turn on the device airplane mode with the device Wifi network enabled, then go to your device browser or Google store to see if you're getting a good Wi-Fi feed from your home router. Hope this helps....

That 'DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG' is a pretty clear indication there's a DNS problem. DNS is a fundamental part of all Internet traffic, with some ISPs relying on pretty good DNS servers to feed their customers, some not.

-- Try changing the DNS setting in your router's Setup menu -- the most common option is the default to whatever your ISP provides but you can change it to specific DNS addresses or you can use some of several public DNS addresses.
Google's public DNS is:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Another really stable option is OpenDNS's public DNS:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

-- If you don't want to change your router's DNS, you can opt to change the DNS setting on just your Moto E using an app like 'DNS Changer':
