Hi everyone, I'm Kevin! I'm about to purchase a HTC Hero (or Magic, not sure yet).

So why an Android, I here you asking? Actually it's the same jibjab you will have heard a thousand times already: Open Source rules and I'd like to write my own applications for it.

I'm a python developer by heart but don't mind jumping into Java projects as well.

My wife has the Magic and I've got a Hero.

Having used both, I'd say you'd get a lot more out of the Hero experience. They're both very good mobiles, but for me the Hero definitely has the edge
