    iOS 4.0 Bugs

My iphone has been acting up since I updated it. Took two restores to even get it to work. And now it doesn't get PUSH email like it use too. It's delayed by minutes. Ugg. Can't wait to get my EVO.

I tried updating my ipod last night to take iOS 4 for a test drive but it failed so I'm going to try again today. Is multitasking working for you?

I believe the 3GS etc don't get the multi-tasking. Only the iPhone 4.

There's a reason for the term crackberry. BB users are addicted to the push mail as if it was an illegal narcotic.

I've already got multitasking on my 3Gs, been able to do that for a year already! Jailbroken iPhones are the only iPhones worth having.

But for unjailbroken iPhones, I believe the 3Gs will get the "multitasking" with iOS4, but the 3G and original won't, I don't think they have enough CPU/RAM to do it, as far as Apple is concerened. Doesn't matter anyways, I hear the "multitasking" is really limited right now, and not very good. The folders thing, though, people will love that. Having folders was the thing that convinced me to jailbreak my phone within a week of getting it, makes it SO much cleaner and better organized!

3GS does get multitasking. It's 3G that isn't powerful enough for it.

Multitasking is working for the most part to what I have seen so far. But I don't see a easy way of just closing the app. Instead you have to hit home, then hit it twice again, then hold the icon, and hit the - to close it. A lot of trouble imho.

The multitasking is always going to be limited by what Steve Jobs wants to allow the users to be able to multitask. (god damn that sounded redundant)

Multitasking only works with a few apps right now. Who knows when more will be added. Lets not forget Facetime ONLY works with wifi as well, making it pretty much pointless. So you cant even really use iOS4's two biggest features right away, fail.

The iPhone 3G does NOT get multitasking. Google it. It's everywhere.

I have a jailbroken iphone 2g and it probably multitasks better than the 3gs on iphone ios4. My apps truly run in the background. For example, if i am playing a game and hit the home button, it takes me to the home screen whilest i can still hear my game running live in the background. (Of course its better to pause before you go to the home screen due to the fact that you are not playing it and risk losing the game lol)

does anyone know how do do the folder thing? like make new folders and stuff? cant work it out on my dads 3gs.

apple have done multitasking, and have succeeded in effective multitasking on such weak hardware!
android needs to learn to optimise their software so that it runs alot smoother on low end hardware, i mean a Nexus one , with a 1ghz still has lag issues, but the iphone has like half that.

Drag a program on top of another and it makes a new folder.
