iphone-like notifications?

    Is there any way to get a notification on the app icons like how the iphone does??

    stuff like texts,missed calls perhaps,unread email, and facebook notifications??

    There are some individual apps in the market. If you do a search for "unread count" you'll find many of them.

    Launcher Pro includes this as a built-in feature for its dock icons which I find pretty convenient since I like and use Launcher Pro anyway.

    Yeah, Handcent is great for getting texts to popup, and "gmail popup" will do the same thing for gmails (obviously). I think there's even an email popup that's designed to work with the K9 email program.
