    Hey guys,

I'm trying to find out how much it costs to actually release an app on the iPhone store, for example I don't want to hire a team or any of that crap, I want to develop an app on my own and then release it for sale, how much does the developer kit and stuff cost? I can't find it anywhere :)

    Cheers

    start here: https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

    Download XCode 4 (free): https://developer.apple.com/xcode/index.php

Apparently, you must develop on a Mac due to non-existant or hard to find tools for the PC. Not sure if there is anything available for Winders. Not saying there is not, either.

After your application is perfect and meets Apple's criteria, there you go. Apple does have guidelines for developers and any application appearing in the Apple store must meet them.

When you submit your masterpiece, it will be reviewed and either accepted or not accepted. Keep in mind, that for the vast majority of iOS users, if your app is not in the app store, it does not exist.

    Luck to you.

I do not know. I do know Apple takes a percentage of your sales.

Apple's developer agreement - required to get a copy of the full SDK - includes a very strict non-disclosure statement that prohibits discussing full terms in public as I recall.

So, anyone here that knows all of the answers really might be violating a civil agreement to discuss it fully.

You might see if these guys can help any with that, someone on the Apple development side might be better informed than I am - iSource: #1 Source for iPad, iPhone, iPod, Mac and Apple TV

Any problems with the close, please tap my name to the left, drop me a line, my door is always open. :)
