Hi guys! I am zero in Androids, but I really need help that's why I am here. :confused:First of all I want to know what is the difference between Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini.
Being angry I broke my previous phone (hit in to the wall :) and now it became a reason to buy new phone and I want Android.
I am opened to any model and brand which will be useful and fast working. About design I care less. The most important thing for me is GPS, WiFi, RAM so phone will not stuck and good loud sound. These are the main objectives. And the price also not higher that 300$.

I really hope for your help!

Thanks a lot in advance! :D

Well, I did a Google search and found wikipedia pages for each phone.

And the X10 is not what I would call loud either.

The X10 has a terrible speaker it's not loud at all. If it's important to you, go with another brand.

I actually disagree....If I play music on mine, it is just as loud as my old Blackberry Pearl, which was one of the loader phone's I have owned. Phone audio does seem quieter than music audio.

But I have noticed some x10s are a little quieter than others...sometimes people have the speaker hole blocked or hold their thumb or finger over the speaker hole....and it is all in how the speaker is amplified. Sounds ok off a hard wood or glass surface, but bad off a pillow...especially if placed screen side up.

I have vacuumed out the back of other phones and sometimes it is loaded with lint. Can't just to always check to make sure your phone is as clean as it can be.

I have found the X10 to be on the quieter end of the scale, there is definately a sweet spot to be found in positioning against your ear whilst in call. I have the X8 which has better volume than the X10 and is similar to the mini but I feel of a more usable screen size. Neither the mini's or 8's will receive any further updates whereas the X10 will in certain markets get Android 2.3 later this year.

That said I have just got an Xperia Neo which is from the 2011 line up of phones and the sound quality on that is excellent. If you can get yourself to your local mobile shop and have a play around with some of the models side by side it may give you a better idea of what suits you.

There isn't terribly much that my Neo can do that my X10 can't on a day to day basis, probably Flash in the browser being one of the most noticable, the ability to create a portable wifi hotspot (altho some carriers have disabled this). The difference is the speed in which it carries out functions and the ability to move apps to your SD card so you won't find yourself limited on space in the internal memory like you can get with the 2010 line up of Xperia phones. So if you can get one within your budget then I would say try for one of the new lineup.
