Is the Samsung S-pen with bluetooth functionallity a capacitive stylus?

Hello,

I have a Sony Xperia Z and like to use an S-pen stylus with a superfine tip and I love the Samsung S-pen;

I was wondering if this S-pen with bluetooth functionallity is a capacitive stylus or not?

Should it work on the Xperia Z?

Not sure but im gonna say it won't work. You could always go out on a limb and try it. All the cool feature won't work thought so if it works at all all you will be able to do is type. If its at all possible I'd say try swap that xperia z

I doubt it would work. The S-Pen is able to work on Samsung Notes because they have special WACOM designed screens, where the screens detect the specially made pens. S-Pens won't even work on non-Note Samsung devices like the S3.

I can confirm that it DOES NOT work. Family member has the Note 2 and I tried the S-Pen on my GS3, no dice.
