So i have a couple friends that arent as cool as me cuz they dont have EVOs but they have a really cool feature that i was wondering if the EVO had or if an app could do. So whenever they get a text message the phone reads the message to em. Anyone know if there is a way for the EVO to do this? it would be cool cuz i ride a motorcycle.
    Thanks Guys!

those dont read the text messages as they come or read em for that fact. Google voice allows you to write messages by speaking but doesnt read em.

    from what i have read....
it is more accurate than the built in process.
it also can learn your speech and accent issues (over time)!

the stop button is a good send... i hate the way the built-in.. would stop .. when you take a breath or keep going because of background noise

    Handcent Read back SUCKS.

Vlingo will read back, but the process will destroy your battery life. There's really not a great solution available at the moment.

There is an app, think it's called Saymyname that will read the name of the sender/caller, that may help as you will at least know if the message would be of interest to you at a particular moment when it arrives.

thats why i like that vlingo has a widget to just turn it on and off with a press of a button and seems to work really good so far. I did notice it reads the text messages while my music is still playing which is a downer :(
