can someone tell me if there is a useful pdf reader

    i've tried one - it's great - it opens pdf's
but is useless for reading as u have to scroll right and left

I would imagine that 99% of the time the pdf reader is useless!

is there a pdf reader that forces all of the content to fit your screen width - similar to how they do on browsers

    thanks

Adobe Reader has advanced to a pretty decent state for reading PDFs. There's a view mode that will reflow the text to fit the screen based on zoom level.

Personally I prefer PDF To Go which is packaged in the Docs2go app, but the most recent Adobe Reader does well now if you want a free alternative.

Any pdf reader should let you control the zoom....

The pre-installed "PDF Viewer" (on my phone, anyway) allows you to pinch and part with two fingers, just like when browsing the web, and of course supports landscape mode, and I can read PDFs in that perfectly fine.

RepliGo Reader (Premium) is the perfect .pdf reader for me.
Shows .pdf as image or as text.
Text mode forces all of the content to fit your screen width :)

ezPDF is awesome, I also own repligo and haven't used that in two months now. And ezPDF gets updated with useful new features regularly. It has an excellent column view and you can create bookmarks in the app, I use it for reading PDF books, the best by far have found. It used to be very slow but now it is as fast IMO as Repligo. I highly recommend it, definitely what you want.

    i gave adobe a go
ok... i can now read pdf's
but: i don't think the usability is very good
going from page to page seems to be a pain
it took me a while that i have to do a LONG swipe across the screen for it to go to the next bit of text

    ezPDF - that 61p!
    i'll give it a go - it's a only a few pennies
but, are there any other free ones out there that i could try first?

    thanks

I read PDF files a lot and so far I have not found a suitable PDF reader, either on my HTC Desire android phone or on my iPad. My PDF files have lots of links to other PDF files, and on my Windows 7 PC, when I click on one of those links, it takes me directly to the PDF file specified in the link, but none of the PDF readers I have tried support this "links to files" property.

The internal PDF Viewer and Adobe Reader (Version X) both show the links, but they are not clickable. The Repligo Reader does not even show the links.

the adobe pdf reader seems to be really buggy
    some pages are ok
u can touch to the right or left or swipe and u go to the next page
other pages, u can do this 20 times and there won't be any response
and then all of a sudden, there will be a response
the same pages give the same problem when u go to them again

so much so, i'd say it sucks :(
    totally unusable

In RepliGo Reader URL links in PDFs are clickable :)
In Adobe Reader even URL links aren't clickable.
