Is Samsung Galaxy Q a good phone? I was going to buy it today but they where out of stock. It looks good and new but the price is kinda high. Would the Gio for $99 no contract be just as good?

Here's a link to it. I'm planning on getting the 2 year contract. Fido | Phones

I'm not even familiar with that phone, but regardless, with ANY phone...post what YOU are looking for in a phone. Coming on here and asking, "is X phone good?" ...not going to fly with most people and will not yield you many responses.

As JoePT said, "good" in an Android phone is relative. For example, for my personal use, that wont qualify as good enough. I'd say, dont get anything with specs less than a Galaxy SL, but then would that be within your budget? Its pricing is a bit beyond those of the phones you mentioned. You need to say what does "good" mean to you.

There are so many android phone manufacturers out there that you really don't need to stick to a particular brand or some of the brands. Just search for "best android phone" on google and you will find a lot of help there.

Op, I'll move your thread to the Gravity Smart subforum, users of the handset will be able to give you the pros and cons of the device.

It's the upgraded /replaced whatever version of my phone(Samsung Galaxy 551 aka Callisto ) and/or the Samsung Intercept CDMA . Basically they have given features which should have been given in my phone .:p
Keep in mind ,if samsung doesn't sell enough of their low end phones ,they knock you off the update list .
Be prepared to remain on Froyo for quite a while .

The Gio and the Q are both Low end phones :( . No reasonable gaming experience can be obtained with them .It's better to stretch your budget and go for a V7 processor based phone .
That said Angry Birds ,Breakout and pinball work perfectly on both of the phones :D:rolleyes:
