Help [issue] Q Wifi not turning on.

Hello andriod forum,

I am having a strange issue with my Galaxy s2 and the Wifi.

-When I go into settings > wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings, and tick the box "Wi-Fi" to turn it on the box will tick green then it will say searching down the bottom and then after 10 seconds it will untick the box and not turn on. I can attempt to tick the box again to turn on wifi though the same process repeats.

-If I go into Wi-Fi Direct settings and turn that option on my phone screen goes black and then locks up.

I have tried wiping all data and doing a hard reset.
