I have bought the bootstrap app, i am rooted and have rom manager installed. Every time i go to install the stock 2.2 rom it aborts the process and says -

    "E:Can't open /tmp/recovery.log"

    Anyone know what's happening?

I have tried that and it gives the same error. The full error message it gives is:

    "Verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/build.prop", "9b656d85b8c2bb0b0c79967bc0d784a357cb9e00" (another list of random numbers and letters...)
    E:Error in /sdcard/clockworkmod/download/www.thekilpatrickproject.com/downloads/koush/motorola/droidx/droidx_rooted_froyo.zip
    (Status 7)
    E:Can't open /tmp/recovery.log

I guess you are going to have to go the non rom manager route

Not that I can help, but as of last night it worked for... Unfortunately I made the mistake of checking off wipe cache and date and ended up 2.2. stock phone, but rooted... So it has worked.

I personally don't have any other ideas. I'm normally successful with this type of stuff. I can do ADB and stuff but this is just killing me. Haha. I have no clue what's wrong.
