I don't know about you, but for a phone that has so many great specs/ features, this phone realy doesn't get the love it deserves! I mean something that has a 800 MHZ proccesor, 3.2 inch touch screen, runs android, has 3G, and has almost every other feature that other top tier phones have, this phone gets little no no coverage! other then the occasional 2.1 rumors and what not. why is this? is it because it's made by samsung? or do you think it's something else

I mean the only real problem with this phone to me is the absolutly bad battery life, and no pinch to zoom, and of course no 2.1 yet.

i think its because there's no hype. this phone, while great, took the plusses of other phones and put it all into one, then was released quietly. look at the droid incredible. a commercial every 5 minutes, but its ugly as sin. i honestly didnt even kno about the moment until i complained to sprint about my pre, and they gave me a choice of trading it in under warranty for a pixi or a moment, seeing as i had such a bad experience with palm, i chose the moment, and i am glad i did. but i think if they gave it a bit more hype(or even a commercial) it wouldve helped alot, plus it seems sprint is still on blackberry's nuts. when i go in to the store thats mostly what i see. BB ads, phones right when you walk in, and accessories everywhere. god forbid you find a belt case that fits the moment tho my .02

True, such a nice phone but no love. As for 2.1 the DD10 leak is really stable, use Xscope for your pinch to zoom needs (pin zoom) and as far as the battery life on 2.1 its really not that bad, I can go the whole day on a full charge. Let me know if you need help, but yeah, no love for our Moment. :(

ok thanks i will let you know. I will only wait this one last time for a "real update", from sprint. and If we dont get it this time, haha I'm not waiting anymore, i will just get the leaked version and you can help me out.

and yes wallace I agree my man. there was no hype going into the release. the droid gets all of those cool marketing schemes, like "DROID"!!!! right when the advertisment first starts lol. but yeah plus this phone does a bunch of good stuff like the other phones, but nothin brand new( which im fine with, but i guess other are not haha)

Well one reason it gets no hype on here because most moment user's are over at sdx where 90% of the moment hype is at.

Well, AlienWare computers get no love either and they are some of the most powerful systems out there.

As others have said it is a combination of no advertising, not being an HTC device and that most Sprint stores talk people into the Hero first.

You have to admit though, the Moment has quite a user base considering there is no advertising. Just compare the post count of the Moment sub-forum to other sub-forums. This alone proves it is a successful device.

I disagree I'm sorry I've owned 2, which neither work atm, and my friend bought one a few months ago and it's garbage but to each their own right.

Moment and Alienware aren't even comparable. Alienware is overpriced stuff that is fast. Moment was buggy and not the latest/fastest when it came out.

I like the droid platform ok and I do figure some of my complaints are user error and inexperience - I have only had the phone about 2 weeks. I can't compare phones because I don't have any experience. Also can't compare with iPhone and BBerry.

The touch screen is very sensitive and when I browse a forum or such in google I keep clicking on links that take me elsewhere instead of down the page. It is hard to get back to your place if you hit a few of these. I don't know the magic spot to put my fingers when scrolling. I could use a little more screen real estate for my over fifty eyesight. I might have the same issues with other phones. This has gotten better for me - the first 2 days was totally frustrating, as I ended up everywhere but where I was trying to go.

The keyboard saves me - don't know if I could type without one.

But dang - these things cost several hundred dollars and should work for the basic functions. On the first round I had downloaded a few apps. This round I have task killer and craigslist. I am afraid to download any apps and make it worse. What is the point to have the phone?

I woke up today after putting on battery charge last night and it was in the frozen airplane mode again. This issue also seems to drain the battery.

When I finally got the phone on, google was in Spanish, and I changed it and it went back to Spanish several times??

Biggest issue is this phone is always locking up and preventing the most important thing Phone Calls!

    I want to like it.

Usually as long as one doesn't require their friends validation to justify their purchases something like no hype for your cell phone wouldn't be an issue. If it were, we would all have iPhones :)
