    I still haven't received the update. I'm in NYC. Anyone else not seeing the update yet? Tried manually to update with no luck as well.

    Apparently you cannot update unless you unroot first (according to folks on the xda developers Epic forum). The update will fail every time if you try to do it while rooted. According to at least one person there, the update does not kill the ability to root the phone again afterwards.

    I'm seeing reports that root is fine for this update. Here is a good post for anyone that's worried about this stuff due to meddling...

    I did the OTA update while I was rooted, zero problems, didn't unroot - the only issue I ran into was one of my own stupidity playing with the wifi tether.

    I did the manual OTA update with the downloaded zip file, and my root stuck no issues all root programs still worked.
