Root I've rooted... Now what?

    I know someone will probably reply to this saying that I can find this info elsewhere, but i have looked and can't find it. So, I am taking the easy way out and asking for help!

    I just successfully rooted my HTC EVO, but now I'm not sure exactly what it is that I am supposed to do. I know I want/need to flash a custom rom. I even have a pretty good idea of which one. (I heard that Cyanogen was pretty awesome) I just don't know how to go about find the rom, installing it, etc.

    Once again, I sincerely appreciate any and all help I can get.

    I guess the other thread, with the same question, which I responded to, is gone. I was gonna post a link to it but I cannot find it now.

    It seems like they are down
    I get download error in rom manager pro so im guessing they are having server issues

    I have the nightly from 8-31, will upload and share link

    quick question. when you do a nand restore the orginal rom and kernal restores?

    Funniest part is after i spent all that time worrying and fretting about rooting and flashing a rom and all that jazz, they send out that ota update that releases the fps cap and I can't get it unless I want to go through it all over again. It took me almost 5 hours last night to do it the first time. ugh ugh ugh ugh
