Anyway, just so this thread does not get moved....

As I was making a cup of tea today I started to reflect on my purchase of a GS2 all those months ago. What a wise decision that was, as it truly is a wondrous device. An incredible feat of engineering made all the more impressive because I had installed the latest Jeboo kernel (links to which are in this very thread).

Then I realised I had run out of custard creams and to be honest the day was all downhill from there on.

Just flashed this mod and confirmed it works a treat. Something I missed from having no Jkay.

Anyone having problems with the v2.0?? I`m getting random restarts and also for over one hour my phone was looking OK but was actually out of reach. When my colleague told me that my phone is off I was surprised, tried to call myself from another line and yes my phone was out of network, although everything was looking just fine on the phone.

Are you on LSJ or still LSD ? Might be something related to LSJ ? after going back to v1.3 everything went back to normal.

Another test has been released which restores the init binary from LSJ. Seems to have cured most people's boot loop issues. Jeboo is looking into why it occurs on newer releases.

I'm trying to root my galaxy s2 with Jeboo kernel to get root. I have downloaded all the Jeboo kernels I can find. But when I upzip them instead of a .tar file there is only a zimage. Can someone please tell me how to change the zimage into the .tar file.

If you are on stock ICS then I would suggest this method.

I used it and never got the yellow triangle up. Once rooted I flashed Neatrom (tried several variants) and still no yellow triangle.

Actually I am on 4.1.2 Jelly Bean I9100XWLSD and the problem is being able to download a Jeboo Kernel and extract it to a tar. All I can find are zimage when I extract them and they are not read by Odin

I would say you are already rooted then.
Just copy the zip file to the phone/sd card, boot into recovery and flash from there.
Hawker has written some scripts that clean up the remnants left behind by different kernels. I would also suggest putting those onto the phone/sd card and flashing those at the same time.

I am definitely not rooted, I am running the official Jellybean. Rootchecker shows that I am not as well. Enjoy your lunch!!
