I think we had like 6 days with temps at or over 100 degrees at one time. Since June we've constantly had 90s +. I hate to see my July electric bill. June's was bad enough.

It was plenty hot here in Kansas through July. It reached 111 a couple of days! I know for certain it makes for some miserable working conditions... not to mention the damage to my garden and lawn.

Since June. A total of 37 days at or above 100 degrees, the most ever recorded here.

Not sure if it was a record here, but it was too hot for too long in July. I grew up in MA so I hate this weather.

I guess I should be thankful, the heat has missed us, it's actually been below average - average for us here in SE Ga. Which of course is still low 90s

I actually went to the pool store and bought some stuff that gets rid of black algae. Its only a few spots (about the size of a pencil eraser) but other then that the pool is good to go! I've been in my pool twice in the last year.

Sounds like y'all are living in the more tepid regions of the country. Here in Arid-zona it's reached close to 120 outside of my house... and we've gotten numerous monsoons in the evening once the sun goes down. Yee Haw!

i live in south central fla and before the weekend i put a quick pop-up canopy over pool to keep it under 90 to swim in on the weekend. and we don't really get any record highs here. just hot all the time here. 95-100 everyday from may to oct every year and 75-80 every night.

yup!!! i live 1 hour south of orlando. and hot as hell, nice on the coasts because of sea breeze but just don't make it too center. still like it here.

man its like 102 here in LA and i can barely move. i can't imagine adding humidty to the mix. yuk. to all those who live in high humidity conditions, MOVE!!!!!!! lol

and my heart goes out to all of those who are affected by the heat and drought happening across the US right now. i hope it rains soon for everyone

why so sad? i would totally appreciate that. its hard to sleep in 80 degree weather without a fan. even then it is very uncomfortable. i might have to ditch my memory foam mattress and go for something more traditional or at least something cooler.

Hopefully things have improved in much of L.A. since I was a kid. When I was living in the San Fernando valley there were hardly any homes that actually had air conditioners! On the occasions it got really hot, we simply piled into the first available car and headed over to Will Rogers beach until the weather cooled down...
