Root Just get Blank screen on boot

Some people have been unable to complete the steps without a screen to show what is happening. It is not worth the risk.

The steps for updating to FroYo are meant as a recovery for people who have killed their screen by downgrading.

But surely the new version of clockworkrecovery means we can see the screens when we're in the recovery?

I just want to flash a stock, rooted Froyo ROM.

You cannot install unrevoked3 if you lose your screen, as you need to boot up and turn USB debugging on.

You can install a rooted froyo ROM by rooting. This won't downgrade hboot and so won't break the screen.

Everything appears to work, buttons light up etc, but no screen???
