Okay, I just installed K9 on my Eris after reading about it. I was using the stock Mail since I have 3 accounts (All Gmail) and the Gmail App on 1.5 is only for one account..
Anyway, I initially had the stock mail set for manual updates which I wanted to do on K9 and thought I did, but every time I do something with the phone it checks mail.
I have "Folder poll check frequency" set to never on all 3 accounts.
but then I found in the 'Global' Preferences there is a Background Sync and this is set to "When background data is checked" so I assume that means that when the phone does other background processes is will then check my mail correct?
Lastly what does 'Touch-friendly View' actually do?
