Help just rooted desire, problems with market

hi guys,

i just rooted my desire im using deforst rom 2.7

firstly. i'm having trouble installing the latest version of gmail, it downloads then says installation failled. and i cannot find "angry birds app" on the market either..

secondly is defrost2.7 a good rom? is there anything else i should be using.
