i got the SetCPU but have NO idea if I need just this or something additional to go along with it, or what the settings need to be at. Thanks in advance :)

you need to flash the gumbo kernal for fresh and use set cpu and it speeds the phone up

i did flash the gumbo kernal. i downloaded the setcpu app, and now am lost as to what the settings should be. it seems my phone battery is draining faster than it was before?

Make sure you have it set to ondemand, not performance. Every time you reboot, the settings will default back to performance. I forget the exact settings for setCPU but i know that the max should be set to 500+ and the minimum should be 245 I believe.

switch to Pancake ROM ..it has the kernel built in ...I'm using Pancake ROM once again...why? IT'S FAST and it doesn't drain the battery as much as other ROM's I've tried..

ive actually pulled up the removing software page, but am confused as to what to do with it. i did the auto root and didn't have to type in any commands. i pull the command prompt up on my computer, and then type in what? i guess i wasn't being specific enough. it says you can screw up your phone, so i was asking what exactly do i type in it says this is an example.

as far as making my phone faster, i read that rooting doesn't make it faster. i put fresh 1.1 on my phone and the gumbo kernal along with the setcpu. i didn't notice much difference like everyone else had, and the setcpu had actual settings. so i guess i was asking, what exact settings do i put it at. my battery doesn't seem to be changed significantly so i didn't know if there was something i was overlooking.

As stated in FAQ #18, you can use pre-kitchen to add/remove sprint bloatware (this works with 1.5). This is all done through the GUI of pre-kitchen.

If you do want to do it manually, you have to install the SDK.

if you rooted using the fresh kitchen then just use the tool box and add or remove any of the stock apps you want don't make thing more difficult then necessary
