Over the past week I've been receiving this message on about 50% of incoming text messages, especially when receiving txts from other carriers and messages with pictures attached. It keeps trying to download then ultimately fails. I'm using the standard Messaging app and I have the max message size set to 1.2m... Any ideas?

if using handcent, go to stock messages app, settings, and turn OFF auto retrieve.

It has happened to me also, I could not figure it out and trying other techniques such as battery flipping and turning or what ever also installing handcent did nothing to solve it or changing the settings around in so many different way. The only way i was able to fix this was to re-format my phone by wiping everything and re-installing my phone, lost everything but it worked. What it seems to be happening is somthing is erasing or shutting down the drivers needed to recieve mms picture mail and things else.

There are a few other threads about this same issue - lots of us are having it and no one really knows why.
