Hi guys, i'm torn between two worlds - the world without HTC sense where you can have a shortcut dock on the homescreen as provided by LauncherPro, and the world with HTC sense where more homescreen widgets work.

So, the question is - can you get a dock like the one offered by LauncherPro and keep Sense, or, can you get more widgets to work with LauncherPro. Widgets like the agenda calendar where your facebook contacts and any other events show up in a list?

No, not really possible, but there is a workaround that requires some work.

If I were you I would try deciding on what widgets you need that are present in SenseUI and not present in standard Android and search their equivalents in the Market. If you find apps good enough to replace the SenseUI apps, just install LP and have ffun. If you like the Contacts, Calendar, Messaging widgets in SenseUI buy LP+ and you will get them and probably more in the future.
