Help Keeps disconnecting from wifi

An IP address is the number your router assigns devices to identify them on the network. They look like this xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (where xxx is any number between 1 & 255).

Via something called DHCP, your router will automatically assign an IP address to any device that connects to it. Assigning a device a Static IP tells both the device and your router to to always use that number. in theory, as long as no other device on the network is using that number, it should connect with no problems.

Why assigning yourself a static IP is a potential fix for the DHD WiFi issues, I don't know. But if you want to know how to assign yourself one, check here.
