Keeps freezingSupport

    Is anyone else having issues with their A500 freezing up on them? I've only had mine for a week now and it's frozen about 4 times now. It freezes when I'm not using it such as right after I put it down and plug it in or after it's sat for a while. I'm hoping this is just an issue with my unit and I'll just take it back to Costco and get a new one.

  2. ye me too, my battery still on 54% , then I turn the screen off, couple min later, no way can turn it on, I have to plug it in power core then it turn on again > is it strange ?

    Btw sometime my screen frozen to, it depend on what apps u using too I guess

    Mine's never frozen while I was using it. DId have a the market and browser crash on me last night.

    Mine is quit solid also no freezing.Well maybe when I'm tweaking something but It has been very dependable for me. I would return it for sure.

    Mine has done the same a few times - I've had it about 4 weeks now and its probably frozen about once a week - I have to turn it off and on again for it to come right - hope it doesn't mean the unit is faulty :(

    This happens on mine too, but only when this happens:

    1. Wi-Fi is on and connected to the Internet.

    2. Set the tablet down and the screen goes off, but Wi-Fi is left on

    3. Move the tablet to an area that has no Wi-Fi and turn the screen on.

    4. Freeze

    After setting it up so that Wi-Fi doesn't turn off when the screen is off the problem went away.

    I have had numerous problems with the screen freezing while browsing the internet, playing angry birds, and using other apps. I am NOT rooted and all my apps came from the Android market. I tried using the reset button on bottom right side of tablet but only get temporary fix. Acer tech support had me send the tablet to them for repair. So I had to delete ALL of my information, saved passwords, and downloaded apps from the device to protect myself and when I got it back 2 weeks later it was frozen right out of the box. I called them again and they walked me through the reset button and ultimately a factory reset. Several minutes later it was frozen again. I've had the tablet since June and didn't have problems until 3.1 was downloaded. Now Acer wants me to send it back to them for repair again.

    I have also been having issues with my Acer 100 with freezing in the middle of a game. I have had the device about 6 months and it has just started doing this about a month ago.
    I would like to send it in for repair but I am not sure how to back up what is on it before sending it in. If anyone can provide with some steps to do this that would be great.

    If your apps and games were purchased on the market and you signed up on google you should be able to get most your stuff back. Is your tablet rooted? If so use titanium backup.
