    Those are the two schedulers that are being used in kernels right now.

    BFS = Brain F*ck Scheduler
    CFS = Completely Fair Scheduler

    Some people believe that BFS benefits lower power devices such as the Evo. On BFS, the performance drops off after your machine surpasses 16 CPUs. Everyone seems to have their own experiences when running these kernels so try both of them out and see which one runs better for you.

    Did u wipe both ur cache and ur dalvik-cache before flashing? There's always the possibility of ur not not liking any of the 2, when it comes to Kernels is pretty simple they either or not. Have u tried any other Kernel. How far r u pushing ur CPU.

    Have you tried running it at 1152Mhz? That seems to be the sweet spot for me, anything higher would cause my phone to lock up...

    i did not wipe the cache or the divak cache. Just wasn't sure what all is saved and what i would lose from doing so. I can run 1152 with kings finally after a few reboots. would like to be able to slide it up to a little more but some is better than none

    Every time u flash u flash a Kernel u should wipe ur cache and dalvik-cache try wiping then and reflash the Kernel if still can't go past 1.15Ghz is because ur phone can't handle it past that point.

    what all is lost when you wipe those two things. Is it just back ground data or is it something that i will notice

    Background data... All of your settings, data and apps will be preserved.

    Try snap 7.1. Takes a bit of work compared to most kernels but you can overclock super stable to 1.19 and pop quadrant scores of 2200. Read the Snap thread over at XDS to learn how to do this. They have later versions than 7.1 but I think 7.1 is the fastest.

    Does Snap work on sense based ROMs? I was under the impression that it only worked for CM6.

    If u don't any other values past 1.15 is because that is the Kernel Max OC value. This does not mean than ur phone can't handle past that point,just try a different kernel that allows u to overclock to a higher value.

    it will allow me to overclock past 1152 but it will not run stable it starts resetting it's self and freezing up

    I was able to overclock past 1152Mhz at some point... probably while I was on 2.1. I think my current inability to do so can be attributed to undervolting.

    I'm gonna have to differ with you on that one, I been running really low voltages(800mv as I type) and I have not have any issues going past 1.15. I have been able to OC @1.22 with such low voltage,but yet again every phone can react different with same Kernel.

    i might try and bump it up again here when i have more free time. It seems like when it does not like the speed it restarts and freezes a few times but then seems to run better. I haven't really played with it much i usually just turn it back down after it locks up.

    Hmmm... maybe I am wrong. I know that on 2.1 I was running netarchy's and was able to go to 1.19 with no issues. I am using king's now and my phone starts locking up or bootlooping when I go past 1.15. This happened with both the CFS and BFS versions of his kernel and they are UV at 825mv. What kernel are you running?

    SNAP8.2/BFS/U UV/OC/nHAVS-800mv as floor voltage OC @ 1.19 which is the Max allowed by the Kernel.

    So is kernal #8 the same as #7 with some updates or are they two different ones. Looking to flash some kernals on stock 2.2

    For BFS, #8 is the updated version of #7, both were released yesterday because #7 was causing lagginess for everyone.

    For CFS, #8 is a major update to #7 but it appears that development has switched mainly to BFS.

    I'm playing around with snap 7.5 and like i am reading here it lagged the hell out of my phone, getting around 3-4 mflops and quadrant scores of 800. I'm trying out 8.2 in a sec, however if I don't fine a kernal that works well on my phone, how do I just go back to...well stock I guess? I'm running cm6 and I was able to overclock cm6 to 1.12 I believe it was without a special kernal...how do I go back to that if I want?

    Edit: Well, just wiped dalvik and cache (is that necessary or just a good precaution?) and flashed 8.25 havs 825 and I am getting 38 mflops and a quadrant score of 1738 running at 1.15ghz. Which is a much better score than running at 1.19ghz, which gave me about the same 38 mflops but only 1523 quadrant score...so I think I'm staying with this for right now.

    While I was on 8.2nhavs800 the phone was working flawlessly but battery life was a big no no for me. Even after reseting my stats it wasn't the best so moved to Fresh and netarchys- toast Kernel.
