Kies software

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Europa (GT-I5500) yesterday and I have a problem with the Kies software. It will recognise the phone but won't recognise my external memory. I have a 1gb and a 2gb SD micro and it won't see either of them. The phone itself will format them and unmount them so clearly the phone is working. Any ideas?

Whoa ...hmm i dunno try a file explorer and see if the file explorer can see the transflash card dude / dudette....hmm i am stumped on this 1...:

and if that doesn't work then look through ur computer to see if it can see it???

Have exactly the same problem with my new Galaxy Europa that won't recognise the external memory. Was there a solution? Not too technical one, please....
