Lame alert: Auto Dim Setting

Say, here's a lame question. How do I stop my display from auto-dimming? Running DamageControl 2.07.2 if that helps... I remember finding the setting in 1.5, but can't locate it in 2.1.

No, that's not it. I open that and it shows me what my current brightness settings are. That doesn't help me.

There isn't a check box for auto brightness in there?

There is. It was unchecked. I just checked it and the phone decided what brightness the phone will be set at. Not what I was looking for.

I probably wasn't that clear. Before my phone's screen shuts off, it goes into a dimming mode on its own, and I want to stop that from happening. I want it to either be on or off, but not dim.

Oh, I seen to remember 1.5 doing this on my phone always anyway, never really gave it a second thought.

When you are done using it, hit the red, power button - that will put it to sleep instantly.

I'm also looking for a solution to this. My screen dims 10 seconds before it times-out and locks (dimmed to 10% brightness). Not a huge deal, since it's going to lock anyway. But...if I'm plugged into a power source, when the screen never locks, it will still dim. So in my car it will dim when plugged into the cigarette lighter (are they still called cigarette lighters?)

Does anyone know how to stop the phone from dimming?
