How do you do it? IMHO it's one big pain in the xxx!

Just makes one more thing to do to bring it up from sleeping.

    Rant off ;)

EDIT: Found it. Settings/Location & Security....Screen lock unchecked.

Guess I will see what happens with accidental screen touches.
From what I see you'd have to hit the on/off button(unlikely) or the home page button(more likely) to get it to come out of resting. Screen touches do not wake it.

I've had my screen lock disabled since installing Launcher Pro and haven't had any issues with inadvertantly turning the X on.

I found this thread cause I had this problem. I wasn't able to make changes to the screen setup because I accidently enabled screen lock. If you do a long press to add a widget or something it just says Screen Lock. To turn it off, go to launchers prefs (hit menu button on home screen), then click more, then click unlock screen.

Since updating to .602 yesterday, I now have the stupid slider lock. It wasn't there with FroYo or any previous versions, or at least it was disable-able.

    My Preferences menu tree is:
    General Settings
    _Hidden Apps
    _Keep in memory
    _Enable scrollable widgets
    _Motorola Droid hack
    Homescreen Settings
    _Number of screens
    _Default screen
    _Enable trackball scrolling
    _Homescreen looping
    _Transition effect
    _----Homescreen Grid----
    _Number of columns
    _Number of rows
    _Auto-fit items
    Dock Settings
    _Number of docks
    _Enable loop scrolling
    _----Dock notifications----
    _Missed call count
    _Unread SMS count
    _Unread Gmail count
    Behavior Settings
    _Enable auto-rotation
    _Home key action
    _Home key to default screen
    Appearance Settings
    _Dock background
    _Show screen indicator
    _Hide notification bar
    _Home button on app drawer
    _Hide icon labels
    _Disable wallpaper scrolling
    _Highlights style
    _Highlight color - focused
    _Highlight color - pressed
    Advanced Settings
    _Memory Usage Settings
    _5 Icon rows in homescreen
    _Stretch 4-row widgets
    _Elastic scrolling
    _High quality scrolling
    _Minimum scrolling speed
    _----App Drawer----
    _Use 3D drawer
    _Drawer columns portrait
    _Drawer columns landscape
    _Opening speed
    _----Screen Previews----
    _Opening speed
    _Display memory usage
    Theme Settings
    _Icon Pack
    LP Widget Settings
    _People Widget
    _Bookmarks Widget
    _Calendar Widget
    _Messaging Widget
    _Twitter Widget
    _Facebook Widget
    _Friends Widget
    _Gmail Widget
    LauncherPro Plus v0.8.6
    Restart LauncherPro
    Backup homescreens & settings
    Restore backup
    Reset defaults

Under Settings > Location & security > ----Security---- > Set up screen lock there appears to be the option to use a pattern, PIN, or password (I assume instead of the slider). Unfortunately none of these does anything.

How else might I get rid of the slider screen lock? I think it is really annoying.
