Please use 2.2 long enough to make a fair assessment. Feel free to post the reasons for your choice below.

I'm just wondering how this is going to effect the recovery tool? When I reloaded it it made my phone boot loop.

    @clockworkmod

I'm aware of Froyo for DX being available. I may need to update the recovery bootstrap to support it. I'll look into it more tonight.

    Koush is on it.

Updated (w/ Root) no problems. Haven't noticed too many differences yet as far as speed/stability, no bugs. Will report/vote after a few days of toying with it.

Me too. I'll wait for the clueless to update, brick their phone, complain when they can't get updates.... Just like when root was acquired, and the 604 update wouldn't install.... Ought to be a good show. :D

I rooted, played with it a bit, installed some root apps, but when 2.2 was announced, backed out my changes so I'd be ready.

Sure I have not used it very long, but having flash on it is good enough for me. I have been looking forward to having flash for a long time now. I love it.

edit..now I just need to get it rooted and its back to being amazing.

    That's what she said...

Just double tap on the video and it should resize properly.

Just installed the updated ClockworkMod Recovery & Rom Manager and everything is working great! Froyo is much smoother and runs with little to no lag.

So far im not impressed :(

It AMAZING the work all the devs have done to get it for us, but my phone isn't liking it. Maybe I will try again when roms come out. Everything was working perfect right after, but it seems like after every time I reboot, I lose another function

    Battery Manager force close
Can't send MMS (receive perfectly fine)
    Pandora doesn't resume after phonecall
    Had a random reboot
    Didn't seem any faster

More volume and flash is nice tho :(

I only did it a few minutes ago but so far my wish has come true: I can once again view Flash vids like I did on my Droid. That alone makes this upgrade worth it! Everything else seems to be working of course but I won't know the full impact of the update until I use the phone for a week. Still I'm very impressed with this 'leak'. Please people, leak more stuff!

If it wasn't for the clueless, man would still be living in caves and you be standing in the cave doorway looking out wondering when you can go outside.;)

This is an official build so I'm guessing future updates will just update like normal. However since I'm rooted and have recovery locked and loaded I'll wait for the developers to check out the updates first and update when they say it's good to go.

This s pretty much how it goes from here on out. OTA updates are on hold until they are checked to make sure they don't break root or recovery first.

So I'm good being clueless at this point:rolleyes:

I noticed Pandora not restart also. Not a big deal and i'm sure it will be fixed. Did you notice if it was only Pandora or and music app also?

I was under the impression that the clueless became dino food and it was the smart, quick-witted ones that moved us forward.

Ummm, you can go outside now.... :D

No no no it was the clueless that figured out you could kill and eat them but some times they killed and ate them also. Which made it possible for the ball less ones to go get food and not get killed but since they were ball less they never tried and starved to death.:p

Damn straight and I can have froyo too. You on the other hand:rolleyes::D
