So I wake up and notice a text "AT&T familymap: security message- yo can be located by the following numbers: blocked-for-safety"

The irony? the lg neon pay as you go phone doesn't have a gps to my knowledge!

triangulation maybe? not sure how AT&T Familymap works

of course if its works as well as Latitude then they can probably locate you within 50 miles or so LOL

most phones even entry level phones have GPS in them, they are just locked down to things such as family locater programs as well as emergency use (if you call 911 from a cell phone they can access the gPS)

while thats true.. This isn't even a 3g phone! XD, I am always on edge network, and it has not been advertised as even having 3g..

So I'm somewhat optimistic about it not having a gps.
